Here's a list of vendors shipping to NYS.

I think a lot of them suspended sales to NYS until they understood the laws. I really can't blame them, I would do the same if it were me.

FWIW, I bought some extra mags on Ebay in the past couple weeks with no problems... except paying a bit more than I would have a month ago.

To take this back on topic, has anyone used a Magguts conversion? Having another round (and still staying NYS legal) sounds like a great idea, but not at the expense of reliability.

I have not. I read lots of comments about the idea when I originally found out about it. It seems to be very reliable. There were a couple comments about troubles, but most were favorable. You are always going to have a few people that for whatever reason will have issues, but I think from what I read, it is a reliable product. I dont see any warrantee comments on Magguts websight, but for $20, if you have problems, you arent out much.

MY THOUGHT is adding one shot for $20 is foolish. Add $6 buy another magazine. Prices are crazy right now.

My thought is that last round could save your life. Not spending $20 to save your life is foolish.
Yes, but it has to be a reliable extra round.

I think my big concern with converting to 7 rounds would be reliability of the converted magazine. It would be one thing to have it malfunction on the range and another to have it screw up when it was really needed.

Well... we can debate it forever. I just threw out the info. I have read very good comments about these, and a couple bad comments. Finding the new 7 round factory magazines will take a year, maybe. These conversions have been out for a while now. $20 is a pizza and a 6 pack. If it doesnt perform, what are you out? If it does work, great. Obviously you arent gonna convert a magazine and not proof test it with quite a few rounds, right? For a pocket pistol like the LCP, size is everything. If you can get an extra round, and keep it the exact same size, thats perfect. The new 7 round mag is going to be longer than the 6 round mag. If I was interested in more capacity, I would try the conversion first.
