I would like to point out that Indiana was the first state to turn red the last election.

I was born here, I guess I'll have to claim it.

Funny, I never thought of my self as part of the great lakes region. I guess we do have one ... or part of one.

I used to be quite the squirrel hunter myself. Now I watch them raid the bird feeder. They are tasty looking. Nice and plump. Nothing like squirrel gravy on biscuits.

I look at them as emergency rations.

Indiana should be cut into two states from Indy up as 1 and under Indy down because from that direction we are nowhere alike.

Yah, it's pretty much the same for IL, IN, OH. North and South are very different.

I feel bad for Illinois because they probably are alike other than Chicago which dictates everything that gets hammered on them all.

and east st louis ... imagine what we could be without indy and gary ... or ohio without the big cities ... the county voting maps are always very revealing. There are a lot of good people out there suffering under the reign of the large urban areas.

Whats funny down here is for the last 8 years we had a Democrat mayor and got two .25 cent raises, then we got a Republican mayor and got more than a life time of raises , money for road repair, demolition of old houses, new business loans, land development, river front projects all in 1 year.
