Vortex strikefire

    Just installed a vortex strikefire on a SR556 and found out if you lay it in its side it could turn on the red dot, so I turned it a quarter of a turn so the controls are facing down. Works like a charm. FYI:duck:

    Every thing I read about the Vortex is good except the on and off switch location. There was plenty of room to turn it the only difference is the right side windage is now the up and down and the up and down is on the left side and is now the windage. The dot is still in the same spot and zeroed in.:duck:

    I actually don't mind the switches .... I have gotten real use to it and plus there is a 6 hour auto shutoff if it is left on.

    I wish I would have gotten a red dot sight, instead of a real scope for my AR. I have a cool mount though, so I could actually mount both at the same time. Warne mount. Really excellent.
