One of the signs of old age is remembering stuff from way back when.
I have that problem too.
I think it is like when a business has to layoff people, (last hired, first fired) only in this case it's "the last brain cell to have a memory installed, is the first one to die". That is why as we age we remember our youth but can't remember the recent past like "when did I go to the bathroom, maybe I better go now, just in case, now where is the bathroom?".
