So many members here will have no recollection of these memories but there are more than a few will have the old times. Hard to imagine this was over a half century ago. Where did the time go? Things were so much simpler back then and I remember even understanding the words in songs.

It's hard to believe that it's been over 50 years ago and even more we were like that. Brings back a lot of fond memories. We never locked our house, our house was the block hangout with a tire swing and horseshoes being played til late in the evening. And I remember when my aunt sent me a transistor radio and I thought there wasn't anything better in the world. It's a shame that kids today have no idea of what we did when we were kids. They are all hung up on the "ME" syndrome. I still think we grew up in the best time there was and will ever be.
