For the lady that wanted my fruit cake recipe

1 cup candied citron. 2-8oz candied cherries. 8-oz candied lemon peel
2 cups chopped pecans. 8-oz candied orange peel. 1-8oz candied pineapple
2 1-lb boxes raisins 11/2 cups chopped walnuts
1/12 cups Brandy. (Christian brothers is best)

Mix all this let set 24 hours


2 cups butter softened 2 cups sugar
1cup grape jelly. 10 eggs. 31/2 cups all-purpose flour. 3-tablespoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon all-spice. 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cloves. 2-teaspoons vanilla
1/2 teaspoon lemon extract. 1/2 teaspoon orange extract.

1. Cream the butter in large mixing bowl gradually add sugar beating till light and fluffy
Add jelly beat well, add eggs 1 at a time beating well after each addition

2. Stir this into fruit mixture

3. Spoon into 10-inch cake pan lined with brown paper that has been buttered

4. Bake 3-31/2 hours or till cake tests done
Let cool compleatly in pans when cold remove from pan and place in cans
Place a shot glass in center hole fill with brandy to keep cake moist

You don't have 2 decorate them but my kids always liked them this way. It is a little expensive but well worth it and if you keep the shot glass filled they will keep on the shelf for a long time (if you can leave it alone. Lol)
