Tell about the Hawks and Bisleys

I hear so much about the Red Hawks and Black Hawks and the Bisleys and would like to hear what is so great about them. HAHA I probably shouldn't even be asking this question......sometimes questions like this lead me to buying more guns.

You can probably do the Blackhawks and Bisleys in one topic, and Security/Speed Six, GP100 and the Redhawks in another. Keeps the various 'personalities' of their configurations from numbing the brain. Well, maybe.
You mean to tell me you don't have a Blackhawk yet? Get yourself another Christmas gift............

The blackhawk is great. Built like a tank, heavy, accurate and it feels like quality when you pick one up.
It was the classic lines of the Blackhawk that first really attracted me to firearms. Nothing's changed much other than deciding the lines of the Bisley fit me better and appealed to my eyes more. Never cared for double actions and especially such over beefy ones like the Super Redhawks. The Ruger single actions cover such a wide range of chambering and capabilities, even more so now with the .454 and .480 chambered Bisleys. From the 22 Hunter to the 45 Hunter and all in between, I'm set for anything I'd ever realistically need to knock down.
Had them all at one time or another, for really hot loads you want the Bisley. When fired it is more of a straight back push, the Blackhawk will role up in your hand if fired properly.;)
I've owned more than a few Blackhawks, most in .357 mag. I like the way they look over the Bisley.
But, the first time I put a Bisley in hand, man that thing fits the hand much better than a Blackhawk.

I just don't care for the looks of the Bisley, so I'm sticking with my Blackhawks.

SavageGuy is right, you gotta get you one....... or three.

There's about ten guns on my 'want list'.
A stainless .357 Blackhawk, 4.5/8" barrel with an extra 9mm cylinder is near the top. :Cooltu:
:D
Then I remember the "shooting budget", Dang It! :(

I like both....but prefer the Blackhawk.

The Bisley does feel really nice in the hand. But a Blackhawk has those classic-yet-modern lines that make it a very attractive gun. And the blackhawk is cheaper.....

OK...what do you need to know...!?

Well I guess I don't really have a need or desire to have one. Just wanted to know what owners thought of them.

Hmm. Folks, should we organize an intervention? Buster's timing gear may have jumped a tooth.

^^ Well that settles it buster, you gotta get you one...... Rules are rules you know.

One thing about Blackhawks, they require a special break in procedure that only I know how to do.

I'll be glad to help you out with that. ;)
Will PM you my shipping address soon.
Rules were made to be broken.
If ya'll will get up a collection to buy me one or two I will accept it.
Or we'll have to kick Buster off the moderator train and hire me instead. Then you'll really get your legs pulled!
