strum ruger .30 carbine caliber pricing

    i need help with figuring out a price for it im not sure how to tell if its the old or new model it was about 1970 in preety god condition ive herd it be called a piece of art before its the first gun ive ever boughten so i kinda wanna keep it but i also dont wanna go to jail over it either the serial number is still on it thats how i figured out the year it has a wood handle with a black bird it is the three screw about a 7.5" barrel with strum ruger

    Sounds like a pre 1973 Ruger Blackhawk.

    Ruger changed from the wood grips about 1973 ,
    it is the only revolver chambered in 30 carbine,
    The going price is pretty much around the $500-$600 range.
    They are not very common.

    Cant imagine why your worried about it being illegal.

    I had one in the 70s cheap to shoot back then with surplus ammo. Traded for a Super Blackhawk 44. I figured if I were being abused with kick, get something with a little more power.
