Welcome to RugerTalk,

Be cool if you went over to introductions, and told us all a little about yourself.

First thing I would do is try different ammo.
then a different magazine.
Thats a start.

^^^ concur

if you are shooting 115 gr, try a box of 124 gr...

Other things to think of..

Have you cleaned it? oiled/lube slide.

The SR9C has a very strong slide spring, if the handgun is new, you might lock the slide open and leave it for a few days..

check grip and lock your wrist..

btw.. welcome to the forum

115 grn FMJ or Hollow Points, critical defense, or lead round nose?

Are you letting the slide slam forward?

Is it picking up the round?

How are you getting the first round to chamber?

Will it pull a round out of chamber (by hand) and then what happens.

It is hard without seeing EXACTLY whats happening.

I put mag in. Pull slide to chamber a round with NO problem. However if I fire, the shell doesn't eject properly hindering the next round to chamber. Will do the same thing if I just try to pull slide and chamber another round. thanks for your comments phideaux. You aren't from LA area by chance?

No sir Im not an LAian.

Im a Kentuckian.

Wish I could help ya, sounding like it could be an ejctor issue.

Can you see the case being pulled back to contact the ejector?

Watch it carefully .

I wonder if the magazine is completely seating. I had a gun do the same thing as your having and it was a magazine not fully seating to lock in place. Are you feeling the magazine click in place?
Does it do the same with the extended mag?

I think the casing is only coming back a little ways from the blow back of the barrel. As was said earlier check the ejector for malfunction because it possibly isn't catching on the casing to eject it.

Sent the sr9c to RUGER. They repaired it and sent it back within a week. Shoots fine now. Can you say Double Tap?

I guess they didn't want to take any chances and dang near replaced the gun. It sure should shoot without malfunctions now.
