A few years ago I saw a SP 101 .22 Cal. for sale with a factory 2 1/2 inch barrel. Had a flat top strap and a rear sight adjustable for windage. No longer in production. Does anyone know about this model??
Ruger lists a model 5765 that is an 8 shot 22lr but it has a steep price for a 22 and the barrel is 4.2”. My Taurus was a lot cheaper and came with two cylinders for 22 lr and 22 mag. Not as well built as the Ruger but it is just as fun to shoot. I use mine to keep the rat snakes out of the chicken house.
My handgun notion is to own .22 cal. and .38sp cal. on the same frame. So SP 101s with 2.25" barrels in these two cal. fits the bill. .38sp +p more comfortable to shoot in this configuration than .357.
