Tonight, Friday March 1st is the First Friday Art Walk in Bastrop Texas
The Bastrop Fine Arts Guild is also doing a show featuring the Guilds photographers group at their gallery on Main Street.

Reception is tonight, but my works will be on display through the month of March.

Congrats on showing your work and I hope the Art Walk brought a lot of folks through the gallery.

But you are in Texas, shouldn't that be beer and BBQ rather than wine and cheese? I understand we Northern arts types are effete, but Texas artists, too?

My wife and I are both artist/writers, working in mixed media, multi-media, performance, and installations, so I know that great feeling to finally get some work in front of the public and get some feedback. Again, congrats.

But I'd still like to go to an art opening with good BBQ. And while we do a lot of ribs up in these Nort' Woods, I know that Texas BBQ qualifies as "art."
