Hey all, I'm new to the forum. Just figured I would share my recent experience.
I have had this .44 Magnum Vaquero for some time. I bought it used and haven't shot it much (I have a stainless 7.5" .44 Mag Vaquero I prefer), but I had noticed that the gun would rust like crazy anywhere the fake case coloring had rubbed off, no matter how well it was cleaned and oiled.
I did some research and found that this is a common problem and that Ruger is re-blueing them free of charge. Sent it in and just got it back with a week and a half turnaround. They did an awesome job and even replaced a few parts and put all new screws in it, free of charge.
Now it looks brand new and I've already ordered some new grips. I think she will get much more range time now. Incredible service.
