I have a takedown - what a great little carbine.

I am looking for ideas
Project goal(s)
1. Have iron sights
2. Mount an optic on some type of Quick disconnect / remove mount that when I flip levers and/or twist a fastener that allows scope / mount assembly to be removed and use iron sights

Factory scope mount blocks view over sights
I have a 2-7x Leopold scope that I would like to add to my takedown bag of goodies

I looked at that sight , looks different

I really like my takedown with just iron sights and may just keep the 2-7x Leopold for another project

Are the peep style sights as good as "V" rear notch / front post ?

I don't have experience with that exact sight, but in general peep style sights are slightly slower to get on target and slightly more accurate for the average user.

IDK if you are aware, but Wally World sells a set of see-thru sight rings specifically for the 10/22 which attach to the pre-drilled holes on the receiver. They work quite well and might fulfill your need. I have them on my first 10/22 and like them a lot. For my takedown, though, I'm using the ATN Ultra, a very nice, modestly costly red dot. Sells for less than a C note.
