RUGER SR22
. The aerospace-grade aluminum slide has serrations on both the front and rear for better grip and slide manipulation.
. The dovetailed, high-visibility, three-dot sight system has a fixed front sight and a rear sight that is both windage- and elevation-adjustable. A reversible blade allows shooters to select two white dots or a solid black blade.
. The easy-to-use underside Picatinny rail features multiple cross slots for variable mounting of most popular accessories.
. Inspection port allows for visual confirmation of a loaded or empty chamber.
. Readily replaceable stainless steel barrel.
. Ambidextrous manual thumb safety/decocking lever and magazine release.
. Easy to field strip.

My first gun. Have put a couple thousand rounds of all kinds of ammo. Rarely a hiccup.

I used to complain about the orientation of the safety before I got my bersa thunder and the beretta bob and to cast. Now I have four the same.

Very accurate shooter.

Easiest mags to load.

Three sizes of grips.

Easy teardown and cleaning.

After 9 years, the mag release got hinky. Ruger shipped and repaired no charge.

For it's size, I prefer the m&p shield to carry. It's big for a .22lr.

My buddy has one. I liked it. We fired it side by side tho with my GSG 1911 tho and we both agreed it was a funner gun simply cause it had the feel of a real gun more so than the SR22. but that was all. Other than that they both operated and ran great. May get one soon just to have one. Can't remember if the SR22 was double action tho. If so it would be a better pocket gun I'd say if so.
