Bought it last week and took it to the range today with some cheap
PMC 55gr fmj-bt ammo. 1-7/8 inch group @ 150 yds/. Okay I guess for cheap ammo, but Im looking for something better without having to reload my own (1-9 RH twist)

Anyone here have any insight as to what factory "out of the box ammo" this rifle shoot best with?

By the way the trigger on this is darn good right out of the box.
    Thanks, Johnhenry

Doesn't the Predator have the two stage target trigger?

I would try a little heavier bullet. Are you going to hunt or target shoot?

    Thanks

Thanks for the response. I learned a lot since I posted that question last April.
Your correct. After trying numerous 45-55 grain factory loads that gave me consistent unacceptable groupings I tried some heavier bullets that greatly improved performance.

And the winner was factory 69 gr. HPBT Australian Outback ammo.
1/2-5/8" groups @115 yds. If shot more often I`m sure I could improve my skill level and do better.

What was also interesting was shooting the same ammo in a Colt HBAR (1-7 twist) carbine produced fairly consistent 1-1/8" groups @115 Yds while all 55 grain ammo shot 2-2-1/2" groups.

Seems to defy the logic of twist and bullet weights.

A great reason to reload and dial in whatever you want to shoot.
