Just acquired a new mini 30 in a trade. This is my first Ruger center fire semi auto. I have thousands of rounds of ammo for it. Anything I need to know about them?
Your mini will likely hiccup on steel case ammo. Do yourself a favor and have the factory firing pin replaced with one from firingpins.com. The Ruger pin is too short to reliably fire foreign made ammo.
Thanks for the firing pin tip 40nascar. I have quite an assortment of ammunition, mostly steel case non corrosive. I do have a mini Mauser in the same caliber that I don’t shoot steel cases in so I do have some brass!
