I've had a LCP for a few years now and I really like it. It's surprisingly accurate for its size and it disappears into my pocket making it the easiest gun I've ever had to carry.

Mrs Big_John has taken a liking to it though... I may have to buy another one of these days.

Do women like these little guns with the recoil they have?
I am not to sure I would like shooting them. How does the recoil of the LCP compare to the LC9?

Buster40C - I love my LCP - it's my principal ccw, followed by the LC9, and every once in a while my LadySmith. I'm female, 62, 5' 5", 125 lbs, and I don't think there's a lot of difference recoil-wise between the LC9 and LCP. Some, of course, but not major. Main thing with the LCP is that I can conceal it better; I can really only carry the LC9 and LS if I have on a non-formfitting winter jacket. Even with the LCP some days I feel like everyone can see its outline. I still wear it every day though because I know people really won't pick up on the fact that I'm carrying just because I look like I wouldn't be!

I got my LCP about 3 weeks ago. Been to the range twice. Tried several ammos, Win, PMC, Hornady, Rem. 2 FTelect on the PMC, otherwise without issue. May have been a hick-up on new gun. It happened with in first 25 rnds. Installed Hogue grips to beaf up the grip for more comfortable feel in the hand. The little guy is surprisingly accurate. This replaces my S&W 442 as my summer carry.

You have a point.
After shooting the LCP and a Sig 238 Mrs 3T much prefers the Sig.
The Elsie Pea is a good hide pistol but has a good bit of muzzle jump.
I've shot both and agree.

Friend of mine has the Sig P238 and I have to say if I was going to own a 380 it would be the Sig 238. It fits the hand real nice and the recoil was surprisingly better than any 380 I ever shot. That is one really nice gun.

Have you seen the LCP II? It has the most incredible looking grips on it, resembling the grips on the American pistol, have not held or shot one yet so they could just look good and not be in the right spot for my particular hand but looks amazing. What is on the front crimson, viridian, or something else?
