Welcome to the Ruger Talk Forum !!

Don't own one Ray, but have shot a friends on occassion...

Like all Rugers...reliable and built like a tank. You can't go wrong...!!
Thanks

Thanks for your reply. Hope I get more replies, I shoot steel plates and need a 10 shot.
I have the Single Ten. Its an excellent revolver, deadly accurate and built to heirloom quality. Its based on the Ruger Single Six design, so reliability sure isnt an issue. Its expensive because its a solid stainless steel revolver. Its the same cost as a Single Six stainless(got one of those also). Target photo is 10 yards 30 rounds. The paper plate is 8", the Post-It note is 3x3". Last photo is my Single Six, and my NAA Mini, just for fun...

Ruger revolvers are as reliable as can be. The single six and ten are beautiful guns to boot. Well worth the money.
Thanks

Thank you Weblance & Warbird 1 for the info and the very good photos of the Ruger 10, it looks awesome. Will start saving for it and try to sell my Taurus. Have a nice day.
Ray:)
Ray... keep in mind Ruger has a Distributor Only version of the Single Ten, with 4 5/8" barrel in stainless or blue. Its available thru Lipseys. Go to Lipseys websight and search for a dealer in your area that can order you one if you would like that option. Its also shown on the Ruger websight under Single Action Revolvers, New Model Single Six, Distributor Exclusives
I love the Single 10 concept but like the traditional sights on the Single Six. I would probably just swap them out if they are the same in fitting.

Yes they are the same, and a simple swap
@ Stevej... I really like that color, and barrel length. I have a Single Six like that, yours makes me want wood grips for mine.

Yep, think yours would look better with wood. Like that the reload doesn't come around so often with the S10. Have been thinking about swapping sights but these old eyes do see those hivis sights better. This is an 07 4" GP100 I picked up a few weeks ago and yesterday was over shooting with a friend who has the same GP only blue with hivis sights which I thought were great, may get some for my GP. By the way he was deadly with my S10. He is trying to teach me how to shoot. Shot my SR9c too, may sell it, have fell in love with revolvers. Kind of looking for a Security Six. Sorry for getting off 22LR topic.

I have two of them and shoot them in a local rimfire match in the Cowboy category. In that category we have to use two revolvers and can only load 5 rounds in each. I found that after loading 5 rounds, rotate the cylinder 3 clicks and I have the hammer down on a empty chamber, and the first live round the next one up when I cock the pistol. They are very accurate, and really fun to shoot.

BTW, my rifle for the match is a Ruger 96/22 - I have only seen the one that I bought at a gun show, but it is a really sweet rifle.
Just bought a used single ten today at my LGS. The gun came with the original box and paperwork for $275. It is a stainless gun just like Weblance's. Talk about doing the HappyDance!!

$275 is a steal... did the cops follow you home? If the Gunshop calls..., dont answer the phone. They realized their mistake and want the ST back. Great deal on a great gun.
Ruger 22lr S/S

Your a very fortunate person, you really stole that Ruger, the dealer did not know what he had and it's value. New it's going for close to $800. if you can find one. Enjoy your great gun.
I do feel fortunate. I was wanting a new convertible but have not been able to find one. When I saw this gun in the case I knew I wasn't walking out without it.
