I guess I'm a stickler for seeing new folks to the forum introduce themselves .

That's why we have a subforum just for that purpose.

I'm proud to say that most people are very courteous, and do a great job of introducing themselves, and I say thank you for that.

    On that note....

We need to improve on welcoming new people to the forum.

Too many times , the introductions get 2 or 3 welcomes and that's it.

I know we all appreciate good people , with good input, coming into our midst...
so I'm asking that we respond to their introductions with a big welcome , better than we have been doing.

    Thanks guys and gals.

I need the newbie's intro to be more than a 'hello' - because I want to respond with more than 'welcome'.

I agree. We should be more welcoming, well, more of us should welcome the new members.

Funny how we want people to tell us more about themselves but then we just reply with "welcome". Perhaps the newcomers would like to know where we are from and if we have some same interests as they do. We might not know some new member is right around the corner from us and vise-versa.
    Good post Jim.

If we get to know each other a little bit,

We learn what liberties we can or can not take in our conversations.;):)

I try to welcome the newbies however I do fail to miss a few and fail to mention how much joining us is beneficial for all of us including them. There are people out there who have common interests and I am sure that there are many things we can learn and benefit from them. I will try myself to be more warm and welcoming to our new guests.

Its good to see the welcomes going out.

Its also good to see the membership increasing.

More knowledge and wisdom to glean from.
