I remember gas at .44 cents, I remember taking a knife and cutting the seat belts out , I remember 8 pack soda bottles could be changed in for .80 cents. And brown shopping bags. I remember when Kmart was the big bad store and western auto hardware stores were in every town. I remember playing in the dirt with my hot wheels outside and not playing a video game. Heck I remember my first am/fm radio it was crystal run with a 4 foot antena on a hand held .. I remember a happy meal was a bucket of cold fried chicken on a spring evening fishing for catfish.
I remember when OBAMA wasn't President... I remember when the United States was a force to be reckoned with... I remember when Fast and Furious was a movie...not a failed DOJ program... I remember when you worked hard and made your way in life without government assistance... I remember when...!!
Remember when oil cans were cardboard and you had to use a can opener or spout. Remember when auto engines had points and condensers and when you lifted the hood you could see the engine instead of hoses and wires. Remember tube tvs and transister radios. Remember when gumball machines were a penny. Remember drive in movies. Remember when spankings were correctional actions instead of child abuse.
I remember when others would pull over to help you if you broke down are a needed help changing a tire.

I remember "hucksters" driving down the back alley's of the row homes where I lived selling fruit and vegetables from the back of their pickup trucks... I remember walking to school in snow...they didn't close the school unless we got a foot...now, it's closed before the first flake hits the ground. I remember playing sandlot sports... I remember my first beer... HELL...I REMEMBER MY FIRST GIRL FRIEND !!
Cigarettes out of a machine at .35 cents a pack. Full service gas station with gas at .30 cents a gallon.
I remember when playing outside all day was normal and we didn't get bored. Buying ammo at 13 was not a problem and no one thought anything about it. Playing cops and robbers. Board games.
