I recently posted about extraction problems on a 10/22 I just send back to Ruger and was given a helpful suggestion about replacing the factory extractor with a Volquartsen when it gets back. In the same vein, does anyone know of any other part which commonly has problems on a recent vintage 10/22 I should think about just preemptively replacing? I appreciate the suggestions, thanks.
Have 18 of them here and yet to find a need to replace the extractor. Even those with aftermarket bbls...no issues. Keep the chamber clean, shoot good ammo and shouldn't be an issue. Sure, it's a inexpensive thing for piece or mind (or for those thinking such a change makes it now a "custom" firearm) *roll eyes*
