Received the new issue of
Guns of The Old West
in todays mail.
I really enjoy this mag.
But this issue has me really Pissed.
on page 59 we have a
Readership Survey.
Ok, some reasonable questions
but starting with question 15,
They start asking
How Many?
What Kind?
and some other questions that I would not
share the answers with strangers.

Reminds me of another magazine I bought years ago
I would buy each and every gun mag. I saw.
Saw a new one,
bought it
looked through the mag.
What the heck
was printed on cheap news paper, paper.
all the articles were just reprints of factory handouts,
BUT,
in the middle was a questionnaire
they said was to better serve the readers.
Some of the questions were
How Many do you own?
What do you own.
How many handguns, rifles, shotguns, and etc.
Value?

No I did not fill it out and send it.
But,
I wonder how many did??
I am concerned about their motive

Oh yes, that was the only issue.
Am I being Paranoid??

There is no good reason for me to give that information away; therefore, I look at it more as prudence, than paranoia.
Last year, a neighboring county did a door to door survey, asking people what they had for emergency preparations, weapons, ammo, food, etc. They said it was information for the unlikely event of a natural disaster, but I wouldn't have answered them, either. It's none of their business.
I don't answer stuff like that, I don't post lists of weapons on forums, and I don't (at least conscienciously try not to) offer information like how much ammunition I have, where I keep things, how I feel about surviving disasters, etc. Somethings are better left private.

These days I highly suspect the reasoning for the survey. I think they need to do a survey at the nearest lakes to see what the fishermen are catching. Rumor has it the lakes have been stocked pretty good. I am not going to say with what.

I really don't think it's anybody's business on how many, what type and how much ammo you keep stored, reloaded or anything else pertaining to your possibles. Some of these guys on forums say: show us your weapon, show us your pistol, show us your stored ammo or safe. First of all, tain't none of their business and secondly, with this administration, I ain't gonna show them nothing but my hind end-and they can kiss it!!

I took pictures of mine before I threw them in the lake. I bought metal 1/18 models of cars I used to own also.
