So I am guessing you didn't have the gun rested on a bag or something. Free hand held at 20 yards that is a lot better than I can do.
Offhand, sitting. I wanted to shoot from the same position that I will be hunting from. The range stool is a lot more comfortable than my folding stool though!
That was a good group that you were shooting especially with a new gun. Congrats on a job well done. Tommy
Dang that's one good looking gun you got there, good shooting too. :Cooltu: What type of holster will you use when hunting? I've carried my Single Six cross draw when squirrel hunting, leaves my strong side open for a shotgun. (I bring home more squirrels when I take the 12ga along too). Lol :usa:
I'm still looking for a holster. Kind of torn between a strong side high Rider, a cross draw, or a shoulder holster. Decisions!
I personally like the shoulder holster for hunting. Your hands are free and if nature calls you don't have a gun going down with the pants.
Nice shooting Greg I agree with Oldhand I have several shoulder holsters the one I use the most is a GALCO for a Ruger GP 100 as well as my Security Six.
