It s not the weapon but the mind behind it that determines the effectiveness and danger involved with the use of it! In this case the Navy has good equipment and brave,trained, and ready personnel. What they lack is a CIC that is willing to use it effectively! If I have a short barreled (18.5 inch) pump action shotgun with a mix of shot and slug ammo, and have trained and practiced with it 3-5 times a week, then when an intruder enters my house and threatens my family, if I do not USE that weapon for the defense of my family , it is so much scrap metal!
