Just bought a new rifle the other day. Wanted to get something that was easy to use and dependable. So, thinking back over the years i thought about my Ruger Mark I 22 auto that i have had ever since about 1957. Then i thought about my Ruger 10/22 that i have had since about 1970. Both still with me and both still shoot like the day i bought em, soooo i thought hey what about another Ruger...:D

So i bought a new Ruger American Rifle Standard bolt action in 308 caliber. Topped it off with a new Redfield Revenge 6-18 X 44mm scope. Took it out to the range and started zeroing it in, but darn wind started blowing and sun was right in my eyes so had to give it up. But i loved the way it felt and shot. That adjustable 3 to 5 pound trigger is great. Can't wait to get back to the range so i can finish the zeroing in.

Here is a pic of what it looks like. No that isn't a magic gun rack, the pic was reversed because the rack doesn't fit the gun and i had to put it in upside down which looks kind of dumb...
