new to the forum, but not to the net. had some question about ruger no 1's and this looked like the place to ask. i have a no 1 in 204, it is an A model. i understand they have been Discontinued, is this correct? are they collectible? thx bob
Welcome to RugerTalk, Thanks for joining. I too am a #1 fan, And I have limited knowledge about the .204 #1s, but I do believe your model Ais somewhat collectable. Ruger did discontinue them , (sorry) due to lack of sales in that caliber. If I were you, I would not let anyone talk me out of it.. Jim
Ok , you did say guesss, Yours does have sights and slotted forearm , right? Pictures would be really nice... I would say...whatever someone would be willing to pay. That would depend on how bad they wanted it...right ? You know that the gun is a great varmint gun ,short, easy carry, light weight. But, they are not "one ragged hole" shooters. Ive done some searching, and I find a few model ABs and Bs, but not an A model. They run from $900 t0 $2000, depending on condition and SS or blue. I would say a minimum of $1000, to start, to right person. Just guessing , ya know. Jim
all good points, here are the pic's. for got to mention it has amoyer trigger, 2.5 pounds and it is a shooter.
God , how I love looking at that #1, they are so beautiful , (tears of joy , ) Yep sights , and slotted forearm...thats an A model. If it was 416 Rigby... we would be having serious conversation. Hang onto that one brother. Jim
you mean something like this? don't worry it's not a 416 buy is different. it is a hefty barrel 218 bee with a 22" barrel.
