Getting ready to pull the trigger and buy a Ruger Sr 40 C tomorrow. What's the opinion on that gun?

No experience with the SR40, but I do have a G22 Glock and love the 40 cal round!

A 40 will likely be my next purchase. Never shot the SR but it sits well in the hand.

Then there's the new SR.45 ... oy vey. Too many choices, to little $$.

SR40 great weapon feels good and shoots great ...
make sure you have lots of room it throws the emptys quite a distance!!

I bought mine about 2 weeks ago and love it. Just about got it dialed in for me. It does have a little more "mule" in it than my SR9c but very easy to control. I am also finding that places that are out of 9mm still have a box or two of 40 on the shelves.

I almost picked the SR40c instead of the SR9c. I shot both at the range and was very happy with the feel / accuracy / recoil of both guns. A little more bite from the 40' with such lightweight guns, but not too bad. My biggest deciding factor was the price of rounds and the fact that I have three other 9mm's. We all (used to) shoot a lot and $4-$5 more per 100 rounds adds up.

Haven't shot the 40 but my dad has the sr9c and I've run a few mags through it...and if the 40 is half as nice as the 9 you will love it!
