Hi all, Purchased our first Ruger hangun a few days ago, a 2245 Lite. I shoot fairly often, usually weekly, sometimes weakly. My wife started shootng trap with her Dad as a youngster so she's been shooting on and off her whole life. She got the bug recently and i took her to the range to shoot my S&W 22a. After we shot she walked by the gun case and saw a pistol she really liked; turned out to be Ruger 2245 "Muddy Girl" The hunt was on! Found one at another local store and decidd to buy it. After a field strip and light lube we took it t the range. We both agree it's a great firearm. I love the .45 grip angle, trigger is fine and i suspect it will get better with time. Sorry for the wordy intro -.here's the first pic: ETA- it's her Birthday present.
Welcome. I think you will like it here. I have owned a S&W 22A, it was OK. I liked the Ruger "Mark 1" my high school buddy had, (thought there was a significance regarding Ruger-Luger) but that ship sailed long ago.
