I purchased my first Ruger a few weeks back. Chose the pro .45 model as i had a Springfield .45 a while back. Defiantly like my ruger better. Although now I am having a problem with the firing pin not striking the primer hard enough to fire. Need some advice or info to try and avoid sending it back to Ruger for them to fix what is hopefully a simple fix.

Welcome to RT

I'm not the guy to ask about technical advice. I did have that problem with my old LC9 (hammer-fired). Metal shavings got into the firing pin channel. It's something to look for.

Yeah that ran across my mind as well was just hoping that since I only put maybe 150 rounds through it it was not the case was trying to avoid tearing it completely down so early but you make a valid point
