have one rifle that i have had since early 90's,,,first edition VBZ lam stock blued receiver hammer forged stainless barrel in 223,,,,this thing is amazing how accurate,,,sub min at 100,,,,way sub min,,,it is zeroed at 175 and that target is 4 shots touching and one just out of touching range,,,5 shot group just over 5/8",,,, it is a shooter,,,i think that ruger changed this rifle and they had a mat finish later,,mine might be a collector don't know don't care it aint going anywhere soon

    anyway i'm here

    thx guys
i guess i should have been a little more specific

this ruger is a 77mk11 and the designation is VBZ,,,i got this rifle in 90-91 was looking for a no.1 varminter in 223 at a gun show,,,found a 6mm but no 223

just so happened there was a ruger dealer there and he had these rifles,,,he said they were just out,,,IIRC they were made in 223,22-250,243,and 308,,,,and it has a 3 position safety on the side of the action,,,not on the tang,,it has a blued receiver and a simi satin simi shinny barrel 26" long, i don't think ruger made them this way very long,,,,buddy of mine has one in 22-250,,,,i have never seen another one like these,,,they are around 10lbs,,10.2 i think

the stock is laminated with a wide flat forearm

i didn't think i would like it but as i worked up loads it was a real shooter, and the rest is history,,,one of my favorites

it likes a lot of things for loads,,,will shoot clean or dirty hot or cold,,,poi does'nt seem to change ,,,the real winner though is 53grhp hornady match with 21.5gr h4198,,,,at 100yrds one ragged hole ,,,about the size of a pencil,,,,,at 200yrds maybe a nickle size group,,that load has dispatched many many whistle pigs

as for pics if one of you guys can tell me how to get them here i will do my best for ya and be glad to show her off

thanks for the warm welcome from all of you

There's an old Homer & Jethro song - "Ground Hog" - with a line in that goes "Twist that whistle pig outa its hole". Must be 30 years or more since I've heard it. Uh-oh, here's another line: "Here comes Sal with a s****** and a grin, whistle pig grease all over her chin".

    Jeez.

[Weird, that word got censored. It's a sound that someone grinning might make. I'll try an alternative spelling: snicker.]

What happens, and how are you trying to load a pic?

Do you have pics on your computer , in a photo file?

Do you have pics stored in a online storage such as photobucket ?

    I use photobucket ,and postimage.org .

When you are posting, top right you will see three dots, select that.

It will then, bring up a list, select "insert picture" and select your devices photo gallery storage.

After the pick is selected, tap on "attachments" and send like any other post
