While I have a chance of stainless steel Mark IIIs, I picked up one blued Mark III simply because they are about to become unavailable in California for a long time. (This is due to some maneuvers by the Democrats which has caused Ruger and S&W to exit California for semi-auto pistols). Anyway, here is how she turned out. I replaced the stock plastic grips with the Ruger marksman thumb rest grip. I replaced the black front sight with a Hi-Viz fiber optic sight 'cuz I plain just can't see those black front sights very well when shooting at my usual black bull's-eye targets. The pistol functioned 100% on the range test on Friday night -- 150 rounds of cheap Mexican Centurion ammo resulted in not a single FTE or whatnot.
