hey everybody! i just got a new ruger super redhawk .454/.45 7.5" and love it! it shoots .454 like a dream.. but im having a bit of an issue trying to shoot the .45 long colt. when i try to cock it, i have to manually turn the chamber to fully pull the hammer back. i was wondering if that has to do with the round im using? just trying to figure it out. i dont have that issue with my .454 rounds. (the .45 ammo im using is 225 grain hornady, i think. its red tipped) Nevermind, i figured it out. they were bad reloads
Is the cartridge seating all the way into the cylinder? Seems obvious, but if you don't look closely and make sure, it will do what you describe Ahhh, just saw your edit. Glad you got it fixed
I have the same on but never put .45's through it. Which reminds me, I need to get to the range and shoot it again since its been so long
