Looking at getting one at tax time. Heard the gas impingement system is pretty messy compared to the SR's gas piston. Any thoughts? This will be my first AR as well and I already have a huge list of mods I wanna make. Found trijicon acog/red dot clones for under $200 and wanting to try one out. Anyone else seen these?

I looked at several, considered the aimpoint with 3x mag tube, the lucid hd7 and the Burris ar332. I really wish someone would make a true acog that was wallet friendly, I've heard very little good and a barrage of more $$ equals better product but I simply can't find anything i want (acog/red dot combo) in a reasonable price range ($400-600)
