Has anyone out there found a aftermarket SBH mainspring that they really like? Right now I'm running the factory springs and I'd like something a little lighter but I don't want underpowered performance, and I won't be doing any SASS or anything like that.

I believe a few of mine here have Power Custom springs with rates #1 less than factory. If my memory is correct, factory is #18.

Not sure your reason for changing the main spring. But if its for a better action .... I have two SBHs and an older single six. I've dropped a leg off the trigger spring on all three. No adverse effects that I can tell. It has really helped with the trigger pull. And its still safe. I was reading a John Taffin article when he mentioned doing it to his Blackhawks that haven't had action work done to them. Poor mans action job , as he put it. Give it a try , you can always put it back on if you don't like it. Hope this helps.
