I just got a used M77,but I have no idea which make. I'm the 3rd owner and the previous had it about 25 years and only shot it a couple times. The long storage has left a couple tiny pieces slightly rusted and everything is thickly gummed. I spent about 2 hours tearing it down, degreasing, cleaning and oiling. Much smoother action, but still needs a bit of work. Anyone else have an older Ruger M77 30/03 Springfield?

I bought a 81/82 M77 in 30/06 from a pawn shop for $275 back in 2008.It has the tang safety I like.It replaced the 1776/1976 200th year of freedom model that took a walk on me.

I have a m77 in 30-06. have 12;00 in it. Was working on a construction job and won on a tip board. It is the SS ultralight model but now sports a nice camo stock I picked up on sale at Cabela's in Hamburg Pa for 1/2 price a few years ago. Bell and Carson desert camo . It retailed at 175;00 I picked it up for 80;00 or so. Also got 1 for my 1900 6.5 Carl Gustaff Sweed and picked 1 for a friends Savage also. . I hope how soon the Cabelas is built here in Bristol tn I will pro have to be tied down to keep from spending all my dougjh
