After a trip to the range today, I started cleaning my LCP. I was wiping out the frame when I noticed a fracture along the top edge of the metal insert. The crack was about 3/4 in. long at the top edge of the insert where it is bent over to form a lip to engage the slide.
I have put about 400 rounds through this gun, always using 90 or 95 gr. FMJ brand name ammo.
The gun is already on it's way back to Rugar. I'll let every one know what happens. Seems to me like it may be an engineering flaw. I've got a lot invested in the little gun with grips, holster, additional mags.

Anyone else have a similar problem?
