Any idea what this line of dimples is on the underside of the LCP Max?

Looks like holes drilled to lighten the weight of the slide. Otherwise I haven’t a clue.

I dunno'. I was thinking maybe some sort of identification coding that means something at the factory (?)

Sometimes companies make marks like that for factory records of production batches made on specific machines but they usually make 2-3 marks not a whole row of them.

Yep, It is odd. I think I'll email Ruger for an answer, just for the heck-of-it.. Before seeing these "dimples" I would have assumed they keep track of production batches by the serial numbers.

So I emailed Ruger yesterday, they asked for a pic.earlier today, and I got their reply this afternoon...( They are really good at that customer service stuff !) Those marks are indeed machine identification marks.. Mystery solved.
