I heard Lake Somerville was mostly closed but I missed the report on the local news. I checked the net to see what I could find. Geeze I found quite a few Texas lakes are mostly closed due to high water. Lake Somerville is more than 11' over usual levels. It seemed all boat ramps are closed. Usually by July the lake has dropped way below normal level.

One report said a lot of fish will die because they will not be able to get back to the main parts of the lake when the water level subsides.

This is a crazy summer.

Lake Barkley formed by Barkley dam on Cumberland river, and Kentucky Lake formed by Kentucky Dam on Tennessee River are flowing like crazy.

This is the first time I can remember seeing erey gate wide open.
and because of that the rivers are out of their banks.

I never seen it this bad, especially in July.

Usually, by this time up "nort" here, it's 90 with 80% humidity, and 60+ dewpoint. Not this year............so far, we've been enjoying cooler than normal temps.............mid 70's with lower humidity, nights in the 60's........I love it.
