Shooter13 I think it's time for us to get another one.
Saw a nice authentic Gurkha one for sale at a gun show about 2 weeks ago but he wanted more than I thought it was worth.

My shooting buddy is a blade freak, he has 3 or 4 khukris, a falcatta, a bolo, and a high dollar replica of the Spartan sword from the movie 300. I can confirm the khukri's chopping strength. I used his cold steel to cut down a 8" tree. It was a lot faster and easier than I expected. I also nearly cut my leg off. Gotta hold on tight!:D

    3 Tango,

If you watch TV they just had making these knives on "Forging Steel". This is where blacksmiths start with scrap iron and have to build what the judges want. Last week they had to build these knives and then they tested them. First test was cutting through coconuts, second test was cutting through sugar cane and the third test was cutting through a pig carcass. It was amazing watching the forging and building of the knives and how the tests came out. The winner walks away with $10K. I can say this, they are much harder to build than you would think but fascinating show to watch.
