It's a happy day when you are in your local gun shop and there is a nearly new (must have shot no more than 50 rounds, it's in really great condition) 22/45 Mk IV Light for sale... This is the all black one with the round holes drilled in the barrel shroud. Looked good to me.

AND

You are trying to get rid of another brand/model of pistol and then the gun shop with the Ruger for sale offers you MORE than you paid for this other pistol new and you seal the deal paying a "massive" $30 (net) in cash to get the Mk IV. So I'm a happy Texan right now.

It almost never happens that a gun dealer gives you more than you paid for a gun.
You seem to have been in the right place at the right time.
