    Is anyone else claustrophobic?

Crap , Im so bad, I wont even get on the elevator at the hoospital if there is more than one person in there.

I get that shallow breathing thing happenig, in the checkout line at Walmart, if there are people in front of me and behind me.
    I cant breath....anybody experience that?

I found out I had this , 30+ years ago, when I was suppose to have MRI,
    I had to be sedated.

Anybody else find yourself in situations that cause hyperventilating?

    Yeah , it aint fun.
You always on edge when out and about, watching out for being too crowded.

I'm not real bad,I am a little when getting MRI's and am a little when I'm working under a car. But I'm REAL bad if it's a tight fit under the car and my chest is touching it,I think I'm going to get STUCK . If anything is laying on my chest even something small I usually feel like I'm having trouble breathing.

I too dislike MRI's but what I found far worse was when I was crawling through a long tube from one cavern to another, while 500' below ground. I thought I was going to croak!

I was exploring caverns and looking for a shortcut to China. I failed.

    My sympathies,
    I have a mild case.
Do Not Like Small Tiny Enclosed Places.
    Also Do Not like heights.
    Do not like flying.
    So,
to show myself who's in charge
I went down to the Perris airport and made some parachute jumps.
    Still don't like
    small tiny enclosed spaces
    heights
    flying
But sure enjoyed being up there under the chute.

Yes I dont like MRI either, where I used to work was a stamping plant and i had to crawl up into the presses to repair a die (500&750 ton presses) and I didnt like it at all.
Being up high is worse for me, it is a challenge for me to clean out my gutters and it is only a one story house.

I used to be real bad but now have it pretty much under control. That and heights. I still have a lot of trouble with heights.

I have the confined spaces under control. But when I get a combination of confined space and people I start to get anxious and nervous. I've been know to drop everything and clear the area. Use to bug my wife but now if she sees me getting nervous she'll tell me to go out side.

Strange isn't it - my very first time at sea was on a nuclear fast attack submarine in '74. The first couple of weeks were rough but after awhile I started to calm down. But once I left I never went back - destroyers, crusiers and aircraft carriers after that.

Confirmed again the other day, that I am still claustrophobic.
Went to a funeral, in a Church, and it was too small.
    Standing room only.
Shoulder to shoulder , packed in like Sardines,.............No..No..No,

Guess who had to find a way out ...get some air.

Yep...hyperventilating.. very nervous... no way I could stay in there.

    Claustrophobic ?...Unh Huh.

I do OK with tight spaces unless I actually am jammed in so tight I can't wiggle...then it's panic time.

What really freaks me out is being restrained...Was on a stretcher in an ambulance once and was moving my arms too much, pulled the IVs out. The EMTs strapped me down and I guess I went ballistic, screaming that once I got off that stretcher I was going to kill them. I don't really remember much more because they knocked me out after that...
