Ordered a Ruger Wiley Clapp II GP 100 today. I'm really looking forward to this gun. It will be my second revolver. I'm a Ruger fanboy so that's a plus. Will post some pics when I get it.

Nothing wrong with being a Ruger fan-boy. I have tried not to be, but I have bought other revolvers including S&W but they are always sold because I just like the Ruger's better. Good revolvers and now that the American pistol is being released I fear my S&W M&P will probably go Bye Bye.

So, I was well on my way to paying off my GP100 at the LGS. Then for some reason I got bit by the Colt Python bug and HAD to have one. Python is paid off and being sent to me. I went to The LGS today and made another payment on the GP100. I got to see and hold it for the first time. I love it. Hopefully I'll have it paid off in two weeks when I get paid again. Just an update.

P.S. The GP100 is GORGEOUS.

I want to see pics of both the GP100 and the Python. What Python did you get?

4" barrel Nickel plated. Tracked it down in a pawn shop in Texas. It's on it's way to me. It's hard for me to tell from the pictures if there are scuffs/scratches in the finish or if it's the reflection of something. She "might" take a trip back to Colt for refinishing. We shall see. Here's a picture from the listing. ImageUploadedByRuger Forum1452912027.285115.jpg

By the pic I don't see you sending it back to Colt. It looks great and often guns look in much better condition in hand than in a pic.

Here's hoping you're right. Turn around times are killer at Colt. Not to mention price.

I was able to pick up my GP100 earlier than I expected. I like it a lot. Can't wait to shoot it. Crappy cell phone pics, sorry. I'll have to get my father in law to take better ones.
