Not that particular ammo.
But I do remember ammo.
coming in the boxes like that.
might have some stored somewhere.
Yes! Yes I do! Does that make me an old Fart?
Yep, I still have some in rifle cals.
These are the old copper wash cast semi wadcutters. Box list them at a little over 1400 fps. I will not shoot them but thought it would be cool to see how many people remember these. The information I found stated that they were loaded with 2400.
I'm an old fart too lefty!
Nope. A little before my time I think.
I remember them also but its been quiet a while
I have 6 of them in a black leather reloading pouch. I think I bought them in the late 60's or early 70's. I wish I still had the box. Every year those yellow and red Winchester Western boxes go up in value because cartridge collectors want them.
I can remember 12 gauge shotgun shells in those Super X boxes...
Uh-humm ....speaking of old farts... I fit too.
They were made January 19, 1974
I remember having those rounds and at one time you could buy them at your LGS if you didn't reload yourself. I also had some for a
.44 when I had my Super Red Hawk and my Super Black Hawk. I don't know what they are worth however I wouldn't be afraid to fire them. They used to put lube on them when they were sold as SWC's and before shooting, you had to wipe them off. Wouldn't be surprised if some of that lube is still on the rounds.
Old Phart +1
I think that's a typo, but it is also a great 'semi-non-sequitur'.
Yep I must be an old fart also.
