The Vermont state primaries are over. For the first time in recorded history, the Democratic candidate for governor is a professed gun-grabber — starting with the Universal Background Check maneuver, Oregon flavor. There are so many transplanted flatlanders in the state now that she has good prospects of being elected. If that happens, watch for a resolution in the legislature to change the state name — to North Massachusetts.
The Republican candidate is the current Lieutenant Governor. He is as close to a moderate Republican as exists nowadays. I haven't been paying attention to his utterances; he may have been avoiding the Trump subject.
