I loved love my Mark II Target pistol because it's accurate as all get out and feels like an extension of my hand. I had a little work done on the trigger and now consistently shoot >1" groups. I have a standard barreled Mark II, also, but this target pistol is by far my favorite .22. I've no experience with the newer Mark III's but you cant beat a Ruger for accuracy, reliability, and function at a very reasonable cost. (No, I dont work for Ruger. I just like them whether it be a Mini-14, 1022, Super Blackhawk, LC-9, or the Mark II.)

The Mark series are good guns for what your after at the price. Don't think you can go wrong. I had a Mark II stole from me a couple months ago along with 14 other guns, really hated that. Here's pics of the Ruger that was stolen.
