Just signed up after getting the invite from the admin of thektog.org. Makes sense to be active here as my wife and I have 10 Rugers between hand- and long guns, and only one Kel-Tec.

Way too cold here to be at the range, despite the contradictory sunshine. Looking forward to sharing info, particularly on SP-101s and 10/22s.

9 was probably our high today -- down to 4F now at 5:30 and predicted to hit about minus 20F overnight. Unfortunately my 12-year-old Ranger p/u is not responding well to the sub-zero attacks of recent days. Time for a new battery.

My F-150 is a 98 with a third door.5.4lr motor with 234,000 on the clock.Still runs good. Someone did a hit&run on it last month and StateFarm won't fix it.I had libilty and uninsured motorist to get it repaired if someone uninsured hit me.StateFarm claims we don't know if thet had ins since they took off.It makes me very angry. My driver side door won't open.

Thanks for the welcome.

RugerNut -- on cold February days like today, the bayous sound better than our frozen tag alder and cedar swamps. Too bad both come with mosquitoes, the only advantage to the northern version this time of year.

Weather

The weather here has been very fickle was -41F a week ago and changed over night to 36 above with 40 to 50 mph winds. It has snowed every day or rained since. We go out side in shirtsleeves with the warm wx has been between 20F at night and up to 30F day time

Howdy Gerry and 264Win -- our deep freeze period has been replaced by up and down temps with snow and freezing rain and more snow, but nothing heavy. The heavier stuff all keeps going south of us.
