Traded the old trusty SR9 for an SR1911 LWC 9 mm. Hated to see it go, but trading it and my 9mm Shield was the only way to swing getting the 1911. ImageUploadedByRuger Forum1500674534.708715.jpg

The more I shot it, the better it got.

It's a keeper.
As long as I keep it away from my son.

First shot at the bottom one was dead center. Told my son "doesn't get any better, time to quit." I let him shoot it, didn't think I would get it back.

The more I read about the SR1911 the more it looks like a real winner. How did it compare to the two you traded for it? I know some have the SR9 and they say it is a tack driver and couldn't be more dependable. The Shields are no slouch either.

You certainly didn't hurt yourself picking up the SR1911 9mm. They are hard to come buy because Ruger makes so few of them due to the demand of other pistols. I really enjoy mine and it gets better every time I shoot it. Good for you!!!

I will miss the SR9. It was a good shooter, but I hadn't shot it much the last couple years. Too many other guns to shoot. The only fte or ftf it had was with my grandsons, probably limp wristing. Really really wanted the 1911, so had to sacrifice it.
The shield was a good one, but it became expendable when I got the lc9s.
