Someone local to me is selling a 10/22 takedown that has 2 different camos on the opposite sides of the gun, mossy oak on one side, real tree on the other. Comes with a camo case as well. Was this option offered from ruger? I have searched and searched with no pictures or accounts of this package found so far so I figured this would be a good place to ask. Maybe it's a cool factory mistake? I would love some info if anyone here has heard of this, thanks in advance!

1) I dunno. 2) I suspect it's homegrown. 3) Many of my suspicions don't pan out. Several outfits - Talo is probably the best known of them - feature 'special' trim Rugers.

It sounds like a mistake from the factory. The stocks start as 2 separate side that are put together, which is why there is a seam on the stock. Goes to show how good Ruger's QC is. I would get it if you can. Probably the only one out there. Might be worth something someday.
