Got a beautiful day weather wise so I decided I would go put some long over due range time in. To make it even better I had purchased a new 10/22 Target model about 2 weeks ago. So I took her out for the first time.

She is still so new I haven't had any work or mods done to her yet. Just the mounting of a scope, a UTG 3x12 44mm. After today I will be looking into a trigger job or replacement trigger, the stock trigger felt good and broke crisply but can be improved.

I zeroed her at 100 yards bench resting on sandbags. Then started to throw some lead down range. At 100 yards, firing 10 rounds I was getting 3-4 bulls, the majority in the 10 ring and nothing outside the 9 on 100 yard sight ins.

I then switched a 50 yard target, and fired off 3 ten round magazines in under 2 minutes. The results are in shown in the picture. I forgot to compensate for the distance change, by the 4th shot I found the bull and stayed there, with the exception of the first shot on each new magazine when my counting skills failed me and I used the wrong mil dot, resulting in the two low shots.

Overall really enjoyed my first date with the new girl and look forward to spending tons more quality time with her.

Nice work, Heat. It seems that 10/22 doesn't need much in the way of mods, but if you're looking to improve that trigger, "Gundoc" is the man for all things, Ruger. I've had three triggers done by him... http://greatwestgunsmithing.com/

Yeah this is my third 10/22 and so far my definite favorite although I do have plans to add another to the collection by the end of the year. Need a tacticool one
