Fiber optic front sight 9E

Anybody tried to install a F/ O front slight on a SR-9e ? It has a smaller dove tail than the SR-9. Found out the hard way

no help from Ruger , they said the 9e is smaller , why I have no idea as they are the same frame. Now can’t find one For the 9e anywhere.
